Global trading platform IG has clinched the much-coveted award for the Share Trading - Low Costs category at the Finder Awards.

Finder’s Share Trading Awards showcase Australia’s best investment products. This year’s awards were our most comprehensive yet, with product experts and data scientists analysing over 115 features from 39 trading platforms to scope out the top platforms in Australia.

IG: Offering value for money with low costs

The award for low costs recognises the trading platform that offers the most value for money to its users. Features analysed include brokerage fees, foreign exchange fees, inactivity fees, trading tools, user ratings, available markets, and quality of research tools.

This highly competitive award also considers the total costs across a range of trading conditions. This includes casual trading of once per month through to active trading of 30 trades or more a month. The award methodology considers trade amounts of between $100–$10,000, with brokerage fees often changing depending on how much you invest.

Competing amidst stiff rivalry

Amid stiff competition this year, we found IG's competitive pricing structure, including $0 commissions on global stocks, combined with quality trading features, made it an ideal choice for both casual and active investors.

IG’s impressive market reach, covering Australian stocks, US stocks, and other global stocks, also played a pivotal role in securing its victory.

IG scored highly on costs across all trading conditions, regardless of trade size, frequency, and market, proving IG’s commitment to accommodating every investor's needs.

Comprehensive trading experience: Beyond the cost aspect

Beyond the cost aspect, IG's suite of robust tools and features adds to its value proposition. The platform's intuitive interface, advanced charting capabilities and diverse range of research tools offer users a comprehensive trading experience.

IG’s sterling customer service record also came into play. Boasting high customer ratings on the App and Play Stores, the platform's commitment to providing a seamless and hassle-free trading experience for its users is widely appreciated.

IG's dedication to accessibility

In addition to the best low-cost broker accolade, IG also earned a highly commended award for US stock trading. This recognition reflects the company's dedication to creating an accessible and affordable platform for trading US stocks – an area where many Australian investors are keen to establish a foothold.

This achievement underscores the platform's flexibility and versatility, catering to the trading needs of a wide range of investors. Whether you're a casual investor looking to invest in local stocks or an experienced trader keen on European stocks, IG ensures you're well equipped to make your investment decisions.
