This morning in London: The FTSE 100 is currently down two points at 6761.
FX and commodities: GBP/USD is down two pips at $1.5967, EUR/USD is down 23 pips at $1.3489 and USD/JPY is down 36 pips at ¥98.23. Brent crude is down seven cents at $106.20 and gold is trading at $1312, down $2.
Stocks: Marks & Spencer posted an 8.9% drop in first-half pre-tax profits. G4S reported a 4.8% increase in nine month revenue.
The day ahead: UK services PMI is due at 9.30am, and eurozone PPI is due out at 10am. In the US, ISM non-manufacturing and IBD economic optimism will be announced at 3pm.
