- About IG
We offer a market on a company's anticipated value during the build up to its IPO, so you can trade on a grey market before the shares are released.
This means you can take advantage of news and speculation on the price, and any potential volatility.
You can also trade CFDs on the company's shares from the first day of conditional trading.
Settles basis the Market Capitalisation of Snap Inc. at the close of the first day’s unconditional trading.
Closing Market Capitalisation is defined as total number of Shares in Issue multiplied by Share Price at the close of the first day’s trade.
The price is denoted in USD$100 million/s (one contract is equal to US$10 per point. One point is equal to 1).
It is tradeable 24 hours/day for the duration of the week commencing at 6.30pm Monday AEST and concluding at 8.15am Saturday AEST.
No stop-/limit-orders can be placed on this market. All open trades will be void if there is no floatation by 31 December 2018.

What is an IPO?
When a company embarks on an IPO (which stands for initial public offering) it goes public on a stock exchange. This can also be known as floating, flotation, or just ‘going public’.
What is a grey market?
By taking a position on a grey market, you’re taking a position on a company’s potential market cap ahead of its IPO (total shares in issue x price). If you think the estimated value of the company is over- or under-priced, or if news stories surrounding the business creates additional volatility, a grey market enables you to take advantage before the shares are released publically on the stock exchange.
How does a grey market work?
Our grey market works the same as any other CFD: find it in our ‘Popular markets’ watchlist, and buy or sell to take your position.
How is a trade on our grey market settled?
Settlement of your trade is calculated based on the official closing price of the first day of trading, as reported by Bloomberg.
