Before we activate your account, Australian regulations require that we verify every client's identity.
To do this we simply require you to send us a clear picture of your:
- Driver License or Passport
AND
- National Registration Identity Card (IC)
If you do not have an IC you can instead provide copies of a bank or credit card statement or utility bill in your name which is less than 6 months old.

Using a smartphone or digital camera, email us a clear picture of the documents we require to help us verify your identity to accountopening.au@ig.com
Alternatively, you may fax it to us on +61 (3) 9860 1755 or send via post to IG, Level 32, Queen & Collins, 376-390 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000, Australia.
In most cases your account will be activated shortly after we receive the information.
