This morning in London: The FTSE 100 is currently up 21 points at 6836.
FX and commodities: GBP/USD is up 30 pips at $1.6875, EUR/USD is up five pips at $1.3651 and USD/JPY is down 11 pips at ¥101.82. Brent crude is down seven cents at $110.32 and gold is trading at $1283, down $9.
Stocks: Lloyds Banking Group will sell off a 25% stake in TSB via a flotation in June. Soft-drinks maker AG Barr has stated it is on track to meet its full-year targets. Engineering software and services provider Aveva announced an 11% increase in profits.
The day ahead: UK mortgage approvals will be released at 9.30am, and Mario Draghi of the ECB will make an announcement at 2.30pm. In the US, durable goods, the Case-Shiller house price index, services PMI and consumer confidence are due out at 1.30pm, 2pm, 2.45pm and 3pm respectively.
