Terms and Conditions

1. These terms and conditions apply to the April 2026 Bonus Shares Promotion. By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as well as the Customer Agreement for your IG account. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions conflicts with any provision of the Customer Agreement, the Customer Agreement shall prevail.

2. The Promotion is organised by IG Trading and Investments Limited, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (register number 944492) and whose registered address is Cannon Bridge House, 25 Dowgate Hill, London EC4R 2YA.

3. The promotional period will start at 12:00am UK time on 1 April 2026 and end at 23:59pm on 30th April 2026 (“Promotional Period”). We may extend or shorten the Promotional Period at our sole discretion.

4. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

First Investment” means either: (i) the first investment made by you in a Share Dealing Account, provided that no previous investment has been placed by you in any IG account of those types (and for the avoidance of doubt, a transfer of assets to IG from a third party shall NOT constitute a First Investment for the purpose of this promotion);

GIA” means a UK General Investment Share Dealing account with IG;

Holding Period” means the period from the end of the Promotional Period to 23.59 on 31 July 2026; 

ISA” means a UK Individual Savings Account with IG;

Promotion Account” has the meaning given to it in clause 5 and, for the avoidance of doubt, if more than one Share Dealing Account is opened the Promotion Account will be the one on which the First Investment is made;

SIPP” means a Self-Invested Personal Pension with IG;

Share Dealing Account” means a GIA, ISA, SIPP, Smart GIA, Smart ISA or Smart SIPP;  and

Share Dealing Investments” means the net total investments, not including any assets transferred to IG from a third party, on the Promotion Account. 
 
Net total investments” means the aggregate value of purchases of investments during the promotional period minus the aggregate value of disposals (including sales) of investments during the period. 

Average Daily Investment Value” means the arithmetic average of the daily value of Share Dealing Investments held in the account during the Holding Period, calculated by summing the value of such investments at the close of each day in the Holding Period and dividing by the total number of days in that period.

5. You must satisfy all of the following conditions to participate in the Promotion:

A. Be a UK resident and aged 18 years or older; and

B. During the Promotional Period:

i) open a new Share Dealing Account:

(a) having been contacted directly by IG to participate in the Promotion; or 

(b) using the promotional code “FS500”; and

ii) invest on that Share Dealing Account (your “Promotion Account”) such that the value of your Share Dealing Investments is £500 or more at the end of the Promotional Period; and 

C. Maintain Average Share Dealing Investments in a value of at least £500 during the Holding Period.

6. You may open more than one Share Dealing Account but must open or already have open a GIA in order to receive the Welcome Share Bonus (as defined in clause 6). If you open more than one Share Dealing Account under this Promotion, your Promotion Account will be the first Share Dealing Account on which your First Investment is made. 

7. If you are eligible for the Promotion and satisfy the Promotion’s conditions, we will give you an allocation of shares up to a combined value of £500 from the list of companies in Table 1 below (the “Welcome Share Bonus”). The stocks in Table 1 are subject to change. The value of the Welcome Share Bonus you receive will be randomly selected in accordance with the approximate value bands stated in Table 2 below; the approximate value bands have a weighted probability of being selected as indicated in the table.

Client holds Vodafone position with an average value of £500 for 60 days, they would be eligible for the bonus.  

As the value of shares go up and down according to the market and any combination of them may not equal the value band upper limit, the Welcome Share Bonus you receive may be slightly more or less than the value bands stated. You shall not be entitled to any cash adjustment in the event the allocation of shares results in you receiving less than the band value indicated above. Furthermore, you are only eligible for one Welcome Share Bonus, even if you open multiple Share Dealing Accounts of different types during the Promotional Period or have a minimum investment portfolio value of £500 in each different Share Dealing Account type.  As these shares are US-listed, they will be denominated in your account in USD and the value of them shall be subject to the exchange rate we apply on the date they are credited to your account.

9. The shares that you receive as part of the Welcome Share Bonus will be credited to your GIA. They will not be credited to your any other category of Share Dealing Account even if your First Investment was not in your GIA. We will do this by 31st August 2026.

10. The shares you receive under this Promotion are US incorporated. You must complete and submit a valid W-8BEN form (or other applicable US tax documentation) to IG by 31 July 2026. The W-8BEN form certifies your non-US tax residency status and is required under US tax regulations for you to receive tax treaty benefits. If you do not provide the required documentation by this deadline, we reserve the right to withhold the Welcome Share Bonus from your account and your entitlement to the Promotion shall lapse.

11. In accordance with the Customer Agreement for your Share Dealing Account, you may be liable for fees and charges in respect of the shares you receive as part of the Welcome Share Bonus (for example, a foreign exchange fee). 12. You may not take advantage of concurrent promotions offered by IG or IG Group. If you participate in multiple promotions, you shall be deemed eligible only for the one you began to participate in first.

13. You must be a direct client of IG. If you have any third-party introduction or introduction-type arrangement with IG or any IG Group, any accounts opened thereunder will not qualify for the Promotion.

14. All accounts are subject to our standard account opening criteria and accounts are available subject to certain jurisdictional restrictions, and as such not all applicants will be successful in their application for an account.

15. If any restrictions apply to your account, your account may not be eligible for the Promotion until the restrictions have been lifted. Any restrictions that apply to a new account will be detailed in the email to the account holder upon account activation.

16. The Promotion is not open to employees of IG or IG Group or employees of any other company engaged in direct competition with IG or any IG Group.

17. The Promotion and any obligations of IG pursuant to it will be revoked or withdrawn from participants who abuse the spirit or intention of it. We reserve the right to cancel or withdraw the Promotion at any time for any reason, including, but not limited to, in case of any suspected abuse of the Promotion. Further, where any of these Terms and Conditions are breached, if we believe that any of the terms of your Customer Agreement with us have been breached in any way, you no longer have an account with IG or there is any reason to suspect a participant has acted fraudulently or obtained an unfair or unintended advantage pursuant to this Promotion, we reserve the right to stop, withhold or cancel payment of the Promotional Interest or to prevent any attempted withdrawal of the Promotional Interest from your account.

18. We are the sole arbiter of the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions and any other issues arising under this Promotion. Exceptions to these Terms and Conditions are at the sole discretion of IG’s management, and our decision is final. We reserve the right to alter, amend or terminate the Promotion or any aspect of it (including the Terms and Conditions) at any time and without prior notice.

19. We will not be held liable for any losses incurred by you as a result of your trading or in relation to this Promotion except where such loss is a result of our negligence or wilful misconduct. All trading involves risk. The value of shares, ETFs and ETCs can fall as well as rise, which could mean getting back less than you originally put in. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Please ensure you fully understand the risks and take care to manage your exposure.

20. We will not be held liable for your inability to satisfy the eligibility requirements of the Promotion or ability to trade as the result of any technical malfunction of the internet, IG’s trading platform, or your own computing system. You accept all risks associated with trading over the internet, mobile applications, and downloadable software.

21. Any dispute or situation not covered by these Terms and Conditions, will be resolved by IG’s management in a manner it deems to be fairest to all concerned and that decision will be final and binding on all parties.

22. If at any time all or any part of any provision of these Terms and Conditions are or become illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect under the law of any jurisdiction, such provision(s) will not affect or impair the legality, validity or enforceability in that jurisdiction of the remainder of that provision or all other provisions of these Terms and Conditions or the legality, validity or enforceability under the law of any other jurisdiction of that provision or all other provisions of these Terms and Conditions.

23. If any tax is payable on the shares you receive under this Promotion, this tax will be your liability and will not be incurred by us. If the law requires us to withhold this tax and settle with the relevant tax authority on your behalf, then we shall credit the shares to your account net of this tax.

25. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
