Levels to watch: Dax and S&P 500

European markets have been distinctly lacklustre in recent weeks, compared to the ongoing progression of record highs in the US.

data analysis figure

Dax testing support at 12,954

While the FTSE 100 touches new records and the Dow aims for 25,000, the DAX continues to languish around 13,000. It is currently testing support at 12,954, with the vital 12,844 level below this.

A close below here would target 12,678. If the bulls can hold 12,954 then 13,211 and 13,350 come into play.

S&P 500 - all-time highs on the way?

The S&P 500 has recovered over the past week, finding support around 2680. The 2694 all-time highs is the next target to watch. 2671, 2665, 2658 and then 2648 are all potential areas of support.
