Gold struggles around $1900 as oil rallies again
Gold’s bounce has slowed while oil prices are continuing to move higher.
Gold
After breaking higher yesterday gold's bounce has stalled for now at $1900, where gains at the beginning of the week ran out of steam. A renewed drop targets $1875 and then $1865, while further gains above $1905 will open the way to $1915.
WTI
As has happened so often in the past month, there seems to be no stopping oil which shrugged off some headline/algo-driven volatility yesterday afternoon to push back towards the peak from earlier in the week. A fresh move higher now seems to be underway, which will take out this week’s high in due course.
