London, 23 March - Investing and trading platform IG has today launched Beat the Street, a free-to-compete prediction game offering participants the chance to win a share of prizes of up to £10,000 while exploring the world of financial markets.

Each week, participants answer six questions on markets and macroeconomic trends. Participants who score 6/6 will win a share of £1000 worth of Amazon vouchers, while the top five participants on the leaderboard at the end of each month will share £5000 worth of Amazon vouchers between them. Every fourth week, a bonus question offers participants the chance to win from an additional pot of £10,000, if they can answer it correctly along with all six weekly questions.

Beyond the prizes, Beat the Street is designed to make markets more accessible, giving participants a fun and interactive way to engage with markets and key economic concepts. Participants will have their knowledge and market intuition tested with questions ranging from ‘Which commodity will perform best this week?’ to ‘What level will the Bank of England set interest rates?’

IG UK and Ireland Managing Director Michael Healy said: "We’re thrilled to be launching Beat the Street and see it as an exciting way for people to explore the markets, test their understanding of the world of finance. There is a strong focus right now on getting more people in the UK engaged and participating in financial markets, and we believe this can be achieved through fun, accessible approaches alongside the more serious messages. For those looking to build their knowledge of markets, we think this game provides a gateway to do so."

The game runs every Saturday from 8:00 am to Tuesday 4:30 pm, with winners notified by email on the Friday following the end of each stage. You can see full details on the game and T&Cs here.
