Record number of UK job vacancies despite unemployment rate falling again
The jobs market in the UK appears to be in a sweet spot. The Office for National Statistics says there are a record 1.1 million vacancies across the country. However, IGTV’s Jeremy Naylor, says this is pushing up wage growth.
As sterling’s move today shows, economists are forecasting a more and more hawkish rate outlook for the Bank of England.
