Indices stumble in early trading
European markets have shed ground in early trading, although US markets are holding steady.
FTSE 100
The FTSE 100's upward move has encountered a check, faltering at 7100 and edging lower. Further declines below 7050 would cement a more bearish view and open the path to 7000 and lower. Bulls will be looking for a move back above 7150.
DAX
The DAX's bounce has run out of steam for the time being, although it has yet to turn into anything more serious. Overall the bullish view is still in place, but this would begin to change with a move below 15,400.
S&P 500
This index roared to a new high last week, and remains close to the peak in early trading. The bounce back above the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) of 4196 put the buyers back in charge, a position which remains the case in early trading today.
