Discount airline easyJet slumps 10% as it raises money
In a bid for a firm footing to recover from the pandemic, easyJet (EZJ) has raised £1.2 billion with a stock placing, with plans for an additional £290 million in debt.
At the same time, EJZ said that it had received an approach from an unnamed party in a bid for the business, which was rejected as failing to represent value for shareholders.
