Budget 2019: What to expect from Australia’s budget release
Australia’s coalition government is promises to deliver the first budget surplus in over a decade, on Tuesday night

Australia last recorded a budget surplus in the June 2008 fiscal year, before the global financial crisis.
Treasurer Josh Frydenberg told reporters, ‘Average families can expect out of this Budget that their cost-of-living pressures will be eased, that there will be more money in their pocket,’
Meanwhile, according to Bloomberg reports, the budget could forecast the current net debt bill of approximately A$370 billion will be eliminated by 2029-30.
The budget comes days before an election.
What can we expect from the budget, and how could it affect the markets remains to be seen.
