What economic data to trade on Thursday: Yellen speaks at Uni. Massachusetts

The DAX is expected to have a weaker September reading after the German IFO tomorrow.

In terms of US data, US initial jobless claims are expected to show a small rise to 271,000 and US durable goods orders are expected to fall 2% in August. The most important data though is Janet Yellen’s speech tomorrow, which should give us some clues after the Fed decided not to raise rates.
