What is extended hours (out-of-hours) trading?
Extended hours trading refers to any trading that takes place outside of regular underlying market hours. Different opportunities present themselves out-of-hours, and we can give you access to them.
With IG, you can trade 700 US shares continuously, five days a week – not just during regular market hours. Select forex pairs and global indices are also available 24 hours² a day.
This gives you more flexibility to respond to news, manage positions and take advantage of price movements whenever they happen.

12pm (midday) to 4am Monday to Thursday, and from 12pm Friday to 1am Saturday (Dubai time)
Stock trading on All Session US shares
3:00pm to 1:30am Monday to Thursday, and 3:00pm Friday to 1:00am Saturday (Dubai time)

Harness index volatility from indices that trade non-stop from 2am on Monday until 1am on Saturday (Dubai time). On weekends, deal on FTSE 100, Wall Street, Germany 40 and HS50 from 11am Saturday to 1.40am Monday (Dubai time) – you won’t find these hours anywhere else in the UAE.

Take a position on over 80 major, minor and exotic FX pairs that trade non-stop from 12midnight on Sunday to 1am on Saturday morning (Dubai time). Our exclusive GBP/USD, EUR/USD and USD/JPY markets are available from 11am Saturday to 11.40pm Sunday (Dubai time).

What markets can I trade out-of-hours with IG?
You can trade 700 US shares 24/5¹ using CFDs and stock trading. You'll also get access to 24-hour trading on select forex pairs and global indices using CFDs.
What trading times are included in out-of-hours trading?
Out-of-hours trading refers to any trading that occurs outside of regular underlying market hours.
How does IG price its out-of-hours markets?
We make our own prices for indices out of hours and at weekends, plus for weekend forex markets.
We do this based on underlying futures with our own markets being priced outside of this. Underlying market conditions usually take into account volatility, client activity and news flow.
Our extended hours on shares are based on those from NYSE and NASDAQ.
1: 24 Hours stocks will run from 4am Monday to 1am Saturday (GST). This corresponds to 1am Monday to 10pm Friday (UK time). These times are subject to change when daylight savings ends/starts in the UK.
2: There are 10 hours of no trading, depending on the asset class being traded. For more details refer to the section on when can you trade out-of-hours.
