To fund your account for the first time, you can register a card via our web-based platform:
Go to My Account
Select Payments and Make a Payment
Subsequent deposits can be made via our web-based platform or mobile app. Payments must be made by you, and not by a third party.
You can fund your account using DBS/POSB or Standard Chartered Bill Payment, Internet Bank Transfer, Telegraphic Transfer, a debit card, credit card or cheque.
The minimum funding amount is $200 by card, though there is no obligation to trade. An inactivity fee will only apply if your account is inactive for two years.

Anti-money laundering requirements guide the payment mechanisms we can accept, while other parties' processes can affect the time it takes. For our part, we make it as simple and quick as possible to fund your account, and we do not charge for any deposit method.
The payment mechanisms which we can accept - including possible charges from third parties - are outlined below. Note that we do not accept payments through AXS Stations. Please include your IG account number as a payment reference when funding your account.
Please also note that third-party payments and cash payments are prohibited. Finally, for all credit and debit card payments, the minimum funding amount is $200 by card, or the equivalent in the currency of your account. There is no minimum amount for other funding methods.
|DBS / POSB Bill Payment||None||Typically the next business day, subject to the bank's cut-off time of 11.30pm (9pm on the last day of the month)||Log into DBS/POSB iBanking, open the 'Payment Services' menu and launch 'Bill Payment'. Select 'IG' from the dropdown menu. Please enter your IG Account Number only under consumer reference number.
Sending 'Proof of Payment'1 using the feature in 'Payments', in 'My Account' in our platform may make the process quicker
|Standard Chartered Bill Payment||None||Typically the next business day, subject to the bank's cut-off time of 11pm||Log into Standard Chartered Online Banking, click 'Payments & Transfers' then '3rd Party Funds Transfer/Bills Payment'. Click 'Add a new bill payment payee', then choose IG from the list. Under Bill Account Number, enter your IG account number only, and Confirm. Click on 'Pay Another Bill' then 'Pay a bill' alongside IG, and enter the payment details.
Note that a minimum payment of $10 is required, and that Standard Chartered may SMS you security codes throughout the process.
|Internet Bank Transfer||None||Domestic - 1 business day, Foreign - 2-3 business days||Transfer payment to the bank details listed under the 'Payments' section within 'My Account' in our trading platform. Then use the 'Proof of Payment'* feature to send us proof of your transaction. Please quote the IG account number only when processing the transaction.|
|Telegraphic Transfer (T.T.)||The client's bank may apply a charge or charges||Domestic - 1 business day, Foreign - 2-3 business days||Transfer payment to the bank details listed under the 'Payments' section within 'My Account' in our trading platform. You can then fund the account by selecting ‘Deposit Funds’.|
|Cheque||None||2-3 business days for cheque to clear||Deposit a cheque payable to 'IG Asia Pte Ltd' at any Standard Chartered, stating our account number and your IG account number on the back of the cheque, then send us a copy of the front and back of the cheque, along with the banking receipt, if available. You should confirm the time and date the cheque was deposited. Alternatively, post or bring the cheque to our office.|
|NETS||None||Typically 2 business days||Available only for walk in clients. You will be required to bring your Identification Card. Available Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00pm (excluding public holidays).|
Please note for fund transfers through Bill Payment, Internet Bank transfer and Telegraphic Transfer (T.T.), you will only need to inform us about the trading account number. Do not add any other details so as to facilitate our client ledger team to credit the funds into the correct account.
1. The Proof of Payment feature is available after the first initial funding and trade. When funding for the first time, clients need to wait for funds to clear, and need not send us proof of payment unless funding by cheque.
Note that you may incur costs and experience delays if you fund and withdraw in a currency other than the base currency of your account.
