(«BaFin»).
IG Europe GmbH fordeler forvalteransvaret mellom ulike banker. Mer informasjon om hvordan IG Europe GmbH oppbevarer dine kundemidler finner du her.
Du finner mer informasjon her.
If, in the unlikely event that IG Europe GmbH were to go bankrupt, all of our clients would receive their segregated funds back from the custodian banks, minus the administrator's costs for handling and distributing these funds.
IG Europe GmbH is subject to the compensation scheme for securities trading companies (Entschädigungseinrichtung der Wertpapierhandelsunternehmen - EdW). The EdW provides private (small) investors in particular with a minimum level of protection for their claims arising from securities transactions against a transferred institution. The EdW pays compensation in accordance with the Investor Compensation Act (AnlEntG) if a securities trading company gets into financial difficulties and is no longer able to meet its obligations to its clients as a result of ETP transactions. The German Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht - BaFin) determines when this condition is met and publishes this decision in the German Federal Gazette. The amount of compensation per investor is 90% of his claims arising from ETP transactions (maximum EUR 20,000) against the relevant ETP trading company. You are not entitled to compensation if the deposits or accounts are not in euros or another EU currency. Further grounds for exclusion are set out in Section 3 (2) of the AnlEntG.
Private individuals, partnerships and small companies are entitled to protection and compensation. Exceptions to this are credit institutions and financial institutions, insurance companies, asset management companies, medium-sized and large companies and the public sector (Section 3 (2) of the Investor Compensation Act - AnlEntG), which hold IG on the basis of a separate agreement with IG ("Title Transfer Collateral Arrangement") in the form of a full transfer of ownership, but not separately.
If it is not possible for the custodian to pay out the customer funds, the following applies.
For IG Europe GmbH's customers, funds in third-party custody are covered by the Deposit Protection Act up to a value of EUR 100,000 (or the equivalent in foreign currency, depending on the scope of protection of the respective banks). The funds of IG Europe GmbH's customers are only held by banks that are covered by this protection scheme. You can find more information here.
If the funds are held in a QMMF, deposit guarantee schemes are not relevant. The same strict security rules apply to the allocation of QMMFs as for shares. This means that your assets are segregated from the company's assets and are fully recoverable in the highly unlikely event that IG Europe GmbH were to go bankrupt.
The QMMF is a separate, independent and distinct fund from the fund manager. This means that even if Blackrock were to go bankrupt, for example, this would have no impact on the QMMFs issued by Blackrock.
In the event of a credit event, the QMMF may not be able to repay investors. Given the diversification, the holding of short-term instruments, the minimum creditworthiness and regulatory standards, the risk of this is considered low.
