This morning in London: The FTSE 100 is currently up 15 points at 6565.
FX and commodities: GBP/USD is up 23 pips at $1.6609, EUR/USD is down 11 pips at $1.3662 and USD/JPY is up 32 pips at ¥102.87. Brent crude is up 42 cents at $96.12 and gold is trading at $1255, down $1.
Stocks: Amec has won a $974 contract with BP. British Land reported a 30-basis-point rise in occupancy in the three months until the end of December. Fresnillo revealed a 4% rise in annual silver production.
The day ahead: UK GDP is due out at 9.30am. In the US, durable goods are announced at 1.30pm, followed by the Case-Shiller home price index at 2pm. The Conference Board consumer confidence report and Richmond manufacturing index will be released at 3pm.
