SETS stands for the Stock Exchange Electronic Trading Service, the London Stock Exchange’s digital order book.

SETS facilitates most of the orders on the LSE, including those for shares in the FTSE 100, FTSE 250, and FTSE Small Cap indices. It also trades ETFs and other ETPs, and some of the stocks listed on the AIM, Irish and London standard exchanges.

There are a variety of trades available via SETS.

SETS q-x

SETS q-x, or Stock Exchange Electronic Trading Service – quotes and crosses, is a variant of SETS that is used for securities that aren’t liquid enough for SETS.
