Will 2018 be the year of the blockchain, and what are the developments that traders should be looking out for? Next week you can discover what two leading cryptocurrency experts think in our second informal discussion on the future of digital currencies.
You can watch the video live on our YouTube channel or via @IGTV on Twitter, at 6.30pm (UK time) on 22 February. And, as ever, put your questions to the experts on Twitter using #IGCryptoChat before or during the discussion.
Who are the experts?
Brett Scott is the author of The Heretic’s Guide to Global Finance: Hacking the Future of Money, and a regular contributor to The Guardian, New Scientist, Wired Magazine, and CNN. Derin Cag is the co-founder of Blockchain Age, a digital data consultancy for blockchain technology. He’s a regular speaker at conferences on the implications of the fourth industrial revolution, blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
What will they talk about?
The discussion will cover a broad range of topics, including:
- The blockchain in 2018 and beyond
- Which Ethereum projects to watch
- Central banks and the blockchain
- The future of cryptocurrency regulation
After the session, there will be a live Q&A so you can put forward any topics you’d like the experts to discuss, or any questions you want answered. Use #IGCryptoChat on Twitter to get involved.
