IG ECB Giveaways

Terms and Conditions

Remember: the value of investments can go up or down. You could get back less than you invest.

  1. These terms and conditions (the 'Terms and Conditions') apply to IG’s ECB Giveaways, a series of giveaways and competitions ran across [01 November 2023 to 30 December 2024] on IG’s various social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram and Facebook) and the IG website (the 'Giveaways')
  2. Participants who agree to participate in any of the Giveaways will be bound by these Terms and Conditions
  3. The Giveaways are organised by IG Markets Limited on behalf of itself and other IG group companies ('IG')
  4. The Giveaways will run for various periods from [01 November 2023 to 30 December 2024]. The opening time and closing time for each Giveaway is displayed on the relevant social media post/tweet, or IG webpage, where the Giveaway is publicised.
  5. Participants in each Giveaway will have the opportunity to win one of various possible prizes, including but not limited to, cricket game tickets, England and Wales Cricket Board replica shirts, signed cricket bats and signed shirts (the 'Prize'). The Prize for each Giveaway will be disclosed on the relevant social media post/tweet, or IG webpage, where the Giveaway is publicised (the 'Closing Date and Time').
  6. The Giveaways are open to persons aged eighteen (18) years or older who are not employees of IG (the 'Qualifying Participants')
  7. A maximum of one (1) entry per person, per Giveaway is allowed
  8. In opting into a Giveaway, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and are eligible to claim a Prize
  9. No purchase is necessary and there is no charge for participating in the Giveaways
  10. The winners of each Giveaway will be notified as soon as reasonably practical after the Closing Date and Time via their social media account, or email address used to enter the relevant Giveaway ('Congratulations Communication'). Failure to acknowledge receipt of notification from IG within twenty-four (24) hours may result in disqualification and the selection of another winner.
  11. To claim a Prize, a winner must confirm receipt of the Congratulations Communication on social media or via email, as may be applicable, within the stipulated time period, following which IG will coordinate with the winner to deliver the Prize either by email, to the winner’s preferred UK email address, or a UK postal address nominated by the winner
  12. A Prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative
  13. IG reserves the right to substitute a Prize with a prize of equal or greater value
  14. IG reserves the right to disqualify any Qualifying Participant or not award a Prize if it has reasonable grounds to believe the Qualifying Participant has breached any of these Terms and Conditions
  15. IG reserves the right to disqualify any Qualifying Participant or not award a Prize if it has reasonable grounds to believe that a Giveaway has, or is, being abused in any way
  16. IG will not accept responsibility for Giveaway entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind
  17. In the event of any dispute regarding these Terms and Conditions, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Giveaways, the decision of IG shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into
  18. IG shall be the sole arbiter of the Giveaways and reserves the right to alter, suspend, amend or foreclose any or all of the Giveaways and/or Prize at any time without prior written notice and without any liability to any Qualifying Participant
  19. IG reserves the right to amend the terms of the Giveaways at any time
  20. Insofar as is permitted by law, IG, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any participant or accept any liability to any participant for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up a Prize and participating in a Giveaway
  21. All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to IG will become the property of IG on receipt and will not be returned

  23. We may share your data with third parties including with the England and Wales Cricket Board
  24. If at any time all or any part of these Terms and Conditions are or become illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect under the law of any jurisdiction, such provision(s) shall not affect or impair the legality, validity or enforceability in that jurisdiction of the remainder of that provision or all other provisions of these Terms and Conditions or the legality, validity or enforceability under the law of any other jurisdiction of that provision or all other provisions of these Terms and Conditions
  25. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales

The value of shares, ETFs and ETCs bought through a share dealing account, a stocks and shares ISA, a SIPP or an IG Smart Portfolio can fall as well as rise, which could mean getting back less than you originally put in.
