How long does the application process take?
After completing your application, we will aim to respond within a couple of hours, during normal business hours. Once we have confirmed your identity (see 'Do I need to send any documents?') you will be able to start trading.
Do I need to send any documents?
After you have completed your online application we will contact you to verify your details and request proof of indentity. Copies of required documents can be sent by email, fax or post — see proof of identity for full details.
If you’ve applied by post, you’ll have to enclose proof of identity as described on the form.

Do I need to deposit funds to open an account?
No, you don't need to send any money to open your account, though you will have to deposit funds before you start trading.
How do I deposit funds?
You can fund your account using most major debit/credit cards or via bank transfer. You’ll need to log in to your account and go to the My Account tab within the web-based trading platform.
I’d like someone to deal on my behalf; can I appoint a power of attorney to trade for me?
