Make referrals, earn rewards

Simply refer a friend by sharing your unique URL found on My IG and we'll do the rest. You’ll receive your reward provided your friend places five qualifying trades within six months of being referred.

A qualifying trade is a CFD with a minimum size of one mini contract or equivalent on which you have paid commission (subject to any applicable promotional offers). For the avoidance of doubt, trades subject to a commission free period will not be qualifying trades. The Promotion does not apply to the opening of a share trading account.

Any credits you may have accumulated on the old referral scheme must be redeemed by 31 October 2020 or they will be forfeited. To claim your credits, send an email to referrals.au@ig.com with your username and account number. Your referrals that are still in progress will remain valid, and will either terminate upon their usual expiry (less than five qualifying trades are placed within six months of account opening) or on 31 October 2020 – whichever comes first. Although you won't be able to see your previous referrals in the new dashboard, they will still be counted.

You’ll earn $150 for each successful referral you make, plus bonus rewards for your third and fifth referral:

First referral = $150
Second referral = $150
Third referral = $150 + $150
Fourth referral = $150
Fifth referral = $150 + $600

Your reward will be paid into your trading account within 30 business days of your friend placing their fifth qualifying trade.

Yes. We’ll send you an email as soon as your friends start trading. In the interests of client privacy, we won’t reveal any information about their trading activity or account ownership.
