This morning in London: The FTSE 100 is currently 30 points higher points at 6059.
FX and commodities: GBP/USD is up nine pips at $1.5442, EUR/USD is 15 pips higher at $1.3134 and USD/JPY is down 17 pips at Y97.55. Olie - Brent Crude is 24 cents up at $101.47 and gold is $3 lower at $1297.
Stocks: Petrofac are on track to achieve a ‘modest’ profit for the year.
The day ahead: In Europe, UK mortgage approvals are due at 9.30am. In the US, durable goods are due at 1.30pm, followed by the S&P/Case-Shiller house price index at 2pm. New homes sales, consumer confidence and Richmond manufacturing are due out at 3pm (London time).
