Daily movers — instruments with the biggest price movements today.
Economic calendar — upcoming macroeconomic events and earnings releases with actual, forecast, and previous figures.
Top stories — the latest market news from financial publishers.
Expert analysis — in-depth analysis published by IG's analysts.
Ready-made portfolios — a selection of ETF portfolios powered by BlackRock, available to invest account holders.
Categories — browse instruments by asset class, for example AI, Technology, Global funds, Real estate, and High dividends.
Countries — browse instruments by country or region.
Note: The sections displayed in Discover respond to the Focus Mode you have selected. For example, in Stocks mode, Discover shows only stock-relevant content.
What are the Most popular and Daily movers sections?
Most popular shows the instruments most frequently traded by IG clients over the past 24 hours. Daily movers shows instruments with the largest price movements over the past 24 hours — both gains and losses.
Both sections show Stocks and ETFs tabs. Tap See more to view the full list. Tap any instrument card to go to its product details page.
What is the economic calendar?
The economic calendar shows upcoming macroeconomic events and earnings releases so you can plan around key market moments.
Toggle between:
Macroeconomics: major economic data releases, showing actual, forecast, and previous figures. Events are colour-coded by importance: High (red), Medium (orange), Low (grey).
Earnings: upcoming company earnings announcements.

What is the Top stories section?
Top stories shows the latest market news from financial publishers. Within Top stories, you can switch between:
Top stories: the main curated news feed.
Insights: longer-form commentary and analysis.
Take of the day: a featured article.
You can filter news by Region and Industry using the filter options at the top of the section.
Tap any article to open it in-app. The full article text, images, author name, and publication are shown. A copyright footer is displayed at the bottom of each article. Tap the back arrow to return to Discover.
What is the Expert analysis section?
Expert analysis contains in-depth research articles published by IG's analysts. Articles include market commentary, earnings previews, and trade ideas.
Tap See more to view all published analyses. Tap any article to open the full piece in-app.
What are Ready-made portfolios?
Ready-made portfolios are a selection of diversified ETFs powered by BlackRock — one of the world's largest asset managers. Three portfolios are available:
Cautious
Measured
Courageous
Each portfolio card shows its allocation split across Stocks, Bonds, and Other assets. Tapping a portfolio takes you to its product details page where you can view the full breakdown and invest. Ready-made portfolios are available to invest account holders only.

The Countries section lets you browse instruments by country or region. Each country page shows a list of instruments with Stocks and ETFs tabs. Scroll to load more items.
Can I customise what I see in Discover?
Yes. Tap Edit on the Discover tab to open the Edit page. From here you can:
Reorder sections by dragging them into your preferred order.
Show or hide individual sections using the toggles.
IG will not let you toggle off the last visible section — at least one section must remain visible.
The Edit page shows only the sections relevant to your current Focus Mode.
Does Focus Mode affect what I see in Discover?
Yes. The sections displayed in Discover respond to the Focus Mode you have selected. For example, in Stocks mode, Discover shows only stock-relevant content - stock movers, stock news, and stock analyst content. Switch your Focus Mode to see content for other product types.
Can I trade or invest directly from Discover?
You cannot place a trade directly from the Discover tab. Tapping an instrument in Discover takes you to its product details page, where you can place a trade or investment.

Yes. Tap Available to invest at the top of the Discover screen to fund your account without leaving the tab.
