How do I deposit funds into my account?

You can deposit funds with a credit card or a bank transfer. For instructions on how to deposit, please log in to My IG and click ‘add funds’ next to the account you’d like to deposit into.


The quickest way to fund your account is by credit card, as successful payments are deposited immediately.

Before funding, you will need to register your chosen card. You may have up to five cards listed on your account at a time, but each card must be in your name and registered to the address you use for your IG Bank account.

Bank transfer

As a client of IG Bank you will be issued with your own IBAN for each account with us. The IBAN can be found in My IG on the "Deposit funds" section.

Please use your personal IBAN and BIC IGBKCHGG for all bank transfer and enter your full name in the reference section.

Within Switzerland, bank transfers are normally received the same or the next day, but it can take 3-5 working days for the funds to clear from other countries. If you are making a payment via an internet bank transfer, funds can be added to your trading account faster by sending us a proof of payment using the ‘Proof of Payment’ facility, found in the ‘Payments’ menu on the left.

Funding on the mobile app

Open the app and log in. Ensure that you have selected the account you wish to deposit into and then click ‘more’ - and click ‘more’ – for iPhone users, this in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen and for Android users, it is in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Then select ‘payments’ from the menu and choose how you want to make your deposit.
