How long until I receive my funds?
What are the standard withdrawal processing times?
After the 'settlement period', you can request a withdrawal. The following withdrawal processing times will apply:
- Card/ApplePay: Withdrawals requested Monday to Friday (before 8pm) are processed the same day; however, it can take up to 5 working days to receive the funds depending on your bank.
- Bank transfer:
- Bank withdrawals requested before 12 o'clock (UK time) on a working day should be processed the same day.
- Domestic withdrawals less than 100 GBP are processed as BACS which can take up to 3 working days.
- Domestic withdrawals greater than 100 GBP are processed as Faster Payments and should arrive the same day.
- Currency and international withdrawals may take up to 3 working days or longer, depending on the receiving bank.
What might delay my withdrawal?
Verification requirements
We typically return money via the same method used to make the original deposit. Before processing your withdrawal, we may ask you to verify your source of funds.
Share Settlement period
If you have sold shares recently, your funds will be in a settlement period before becoming available to withdraw:
Share Type | Settlement Period | When Will Funds Become Available |
US Shares | T+1 | One business day after selling your shares |
All Other Shares | T+2 | Two business days after selling your shares |
For more information, please see when funds are available to withdraw after selling shares.
Other reasons that cause delay
- Actual receipt of funds depends on your bank's processing systems and may vary.
- Bank holidays and weekends are not considered as working days.
- For international transfers, intermediary banks may cause additional delays.
