Your funds with IG are held in a segregated bank account. Please note that we do not accept cash payments, bank transfer from Standard Chartered Bank or payments through AXS/ATM machines. Funding must be made from a bank account or card registered under the IG accountholder’s name.
Note: For bank transfers, the Proof of Payment feature is available after the first initial funding and trade. When funding for the first time, clients will need to wait for funds to clear, and need not send us proof of payment unless funding via cheque.
We do not process funding from banks or accept proof of payments during the weekends and public holidays. For weekends and public holidays, only credit/debit card funding is available.
Internet Bank Transfer (FAST payments only)

Debit/Credit Card (Supported by VISA or Mastercard)
|Cost||2.3% of the transaction amount, levied by the card processor. We recommend checking with the merchant bank/card issuer, who may levy further charges|
|How to deposit funds||Register your card on the IG platform under the ‘My IG’ section, then click on ‘Add Funds’.

Standard Chartered Cheque

|How to deposit funds||Deposit a cheque payable to 'IG Asia Pte Ltd' at any Standard Chartered, stating our account number and your IG account number on the back of the cheque, then send us a copy of the front and back of the cheque, along with the banking receipt, if available. You should confirm the time and date the cheque was deposited. Alternatively, post or bring the cheque to our office.|
Standard Chartered Bill Payment

|How to deposit funds||Log into Standard Chartered Online Banking, click 'Make Payment' then 'Pay Bills'. Click 'Add biller', then choose ‘IG’ from the list. Under ‘Bill Account Number’, enter your IG account number only, and Confirm. Input your payment details and proceed with the transfer.|
DBS / POSB Bill Payment
|Execution time||Typically the next business day, subject to the bank's cut-off time of 11.30pm (8:30pm on the last day of the month)|
|How to deposit funds||Log into DBS/POSB iBanking, open the “Pay Bills' menu and add ‘IG’ as your billing organization. Under the ‘Bill Reference’, enter your IG account number only. Input your payment details and proceed with the transfer.|
For funds transfers via Internet Bank, Telegraphic Transfers, and Bill Payment, indicate only your IG trading account number, without additional details in order to facilitate our client ledger team to credit the funds into the correct account.
- Third party payments are strictly prohibited. Funds will be returned to the third party payer and further proof of transfer will be required.
- We are unable to accept cards where the cardholder is US resident
- Cheques from foreign bank accounts or those deposited without proof sent to us may take up to ten business days to process
- Cashier's Orders are accepted only if debited from our client's bank account

The following details must be shown on all proof of payments submitted for them to be accepted:
- Date of transfer
- Amount transferred
- Transaction shows that payment is made to IG Asia Pte Ltd from your bank account
- Transaction Reference Number
- Indication of your IG account number
The Proof of Payment facility is subjected to approval and is not instantaneous. Our Credit Team endeavours to book the funds for approved Proof of Payments promptly and accurately. Clients are advised to upload their Proof of Payments via the web trading platform to avoid possible delays in fund allocations.
Note that you may incur costs and experience delays if you fund and withdraw in a currency other than the base currency of your account.
Please note that the proof of payment facility should not be used to cover Saturday and Sunday trading or on days when IG’s payments processing is not available. If in doubt, contact the helpdesk to confirm availability.
There is also a minimum funding amount required to use our proof of payment credit facility. You can see the thresholds in the table below. Please note that these changes apply for pre-funding accounts only, any funding below the minimum will be allocated to your account when the funds reach IG’s bank account.
