The exchange will release information when a stock is suspended/delisted. If a stock is suspended/delisted, we would have to wait for the stock to become tradeable again – which is outside of IG's control.
When a stock delists, our corporate actions and risk departments will review the position and handle it according to the specific circumstances of the delisting. We will contact you regarding any changes to your position or margin requirements.
If you own shares in a company that delists on your IG leveraged account, we can close the position completely upon request and thus waive your right to potential future proceeds. This is because when you trade on leverage, you're trading over-the-counter with us - so we're able to take care of things like this in-house.
