From degree to IG

  • John Noble

    Chief Operating Officer

    Jon graduated from Durham University with a degree in economics, and he also holds an executive MBA from London Business School. He first joined IG in 2000 as a trainee dealer, and his journey has been filled with many opportunities – finally leading to his appointment as chief operating officer in 2019. Besides steering IG’s operations, he also chairs a number of our management committees.

  • Elizabeth Ayers

    Head of SEO

    Elizabeth completed her BSc MediaLab Arts at the University of Plymouth. She then gained some work experience in multimedia design and developing, which led her to complete an SEO course. After nine years at an agency, Elizabeth left as senior director of SEO. She then spent three years as global head of organic growth at one of the world’s largest online retailers before joining IG as head of SEO.

  • Matt Sumpster

    Head of Risk Analytics & Projects

    Matt kicked off his career after attending Kings College at the University of London, where he studied geography. After training as a chartered accountant, he spent ten years working in financial, risk and regulation services. In 2016, Matt joined IG to head up the regulatory capital division. He subsequently expanded his experience and his role to include the oversight of the risk analytics and risk change departments.

  • Siobhan Cameron

    Head of Landing Environments

    Siobhan studied ancient history at the University of Nottingham. After graduating, she did a course in journalism, then got her first job at a magazine as an editorial assistant. She became heavily involved with the company’s website, which ignited her passion for digital marketing. Siobhan now leads IG’s website landing environments team, which manages our global websites and IG Academy.

  • Andy Duckworth

    Video Team Lead

    Andy attended the University of Birmingham, where he studied geography before kicking off his career in broadcast journalism. After ten years in radio, he joined one of the largest newspapers in the UK and US to help start up its multimedia department. Andy joined IG in 2019 and leads a passionate team of editors and motion graphics designers.

  • Tamara Marshall

    SEO Strategy Manager

    Tamara graduated from Swansea University, where she majored in media studies and journalism. She then also completed a supplementary diploma in journalism through NCTJ. Her career started in copywriting for various media agencies and tech start-ups. She then moved on to SEO, which led her to IG. Tamara now works as a website content strategist for one of our news and research websites, DailyFX.
