In order to open a stocks and shares ISA with IG, first of all you’ll need a share dealing account.

Opening a share dealing account

If you’re new to IG, open a share dealing account by clicking ‘create account’ in the top right of IG.com. Then fill out your details and select ‘share dealing account’.

If you already have an IG account for spread betting or CFDs, go into ‘my account’ and select ‘add share dealing’. Or from My IG, select 'add another account' and 'add share dealing'.

Adding an ISA

Once that’s set up, adding an ISA is easy. From My IG, select 'add another account', then ‘add ISA’, and fill in the form. If your application is successful, you’ll get a confirmation and your new ISA will appear in the ‘manage accounts’ window.

To fund your ISA, go to 'live accounts' and 'deposit funds' in My IG. As soon as your ISA is funded, you’ll be ready to start trading.

Transferring an ISA

If you already have a stocks and shares ISA with another provider, you can transfer it to us with no IG charges.

To transfer an ISA to IG, navigate to the 'transfer investments' page. Download the form, fill it out, and send it to us. We’ll take care of the rest.
