F9 – Open new order window

F8 – Open chart properties

How Do I Customise MT5 Settings?

Step 1 – Access Options

  1. Go to Tools > Options

  2. The Options window opens with multiple tabs

Step 2 – Customise Each Section

Server Tab:

  • Keep login credentials current

  • Set connection timeout preferences

Charts Tab:

  • Set default chart appearance

  • Choose colour schemes

  • Set maximum bars in chart

Objects Tab:

  • Configure drawing tool defaults

  • Set object selection preferences

Trade Tab:

  • Set default order settings

  • Configure confirmation dialogs

Step 3 – Apply Changes

  1. Click OK to save all changes

  2. Restart MT5 if prompted

Important: Changes apply to all future charts and orders.
