How do I close my IG account?
To close your account:
- Close all open positions
- Withdraw any remaining funds
Once done, contact us via chat or WhatsApp to request closure.
Alternatively, you can email us at helpdesk.uk@ig.com from your registered email address to request account closure.
If you'd prefer to use a different email address, include the following security details with your request:
- Your full name and date of birth
- Your registered postal address
- Your phone number
- The balance on your IG account
- The market you last traded
- The last four digits of your registered card(s)
If you have an active ISA account, we can't close Share Dealing accounts without closing the ISA account too.
