Get started in moments – simply apply for an account, fund and start trading.

1. Complete the online form

Apply for an account instantly via desktop, or mobile and tablet apps. You can also apply by post.

Simply enter your details and choose a username and password.

2. Customer Knowledge Assessment

We ask about your education, work and CFD trading experience to assess if CFD trading is suitable for you.  Information on your financial status is used to determine if the level of risk inherent in leveraged trading is suitable for you.

All information is held securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy and we never contact your employer as part of the application.

3. Send us Supporting Documents

We have to verify your identification and residential address, and assess your knowledge about CFDs.

You also have to agree to our Risk Disclosure Statement.

What happens next?

After you apply:

  • If your application is successful, we will send email confirmation of your login details to access the platform, and details of any further requirements we may have. 
  • Read our welcome guide to learn how to log in, fund and get started.

Setting up your account:

  • Your account manager will call to talk you through the platform and help you place your first trade.
  • You’ll need to fund your account to start trading.
  • Learn more about how to use the platform and improve your trading skills, including video guides, tips and walkthroughs.
  • Set your preferences within the platform – advanced traders can choose to activate ProRealTime charts, one-click trading and more.

How long does the application process take?

Most applications are approved electronically in moments, allowing you access to the trading platform. In order to fund your account and start trading, the Supporting Documents need to be processed, which typically takes one to two working days.

Do you offer a demo account or platform?

Can I apply by post?

Do I need to send any documents?

Yes, you need to provide Supporting Documents.

Do I need to download any software?

Our main platform is browser-based, so you don’t have to download anything. If you want to use our mobile or tablet apps, you will need to download them from the relevant app stores. Clients using the advanced L2 Dealer platform will also need to download software.

Do I need to deposit funds to open an account?

No, you don't need to send any money to open your account, though you will have to deposit funds before you start dealing.

How do I deposit funds?

You can fund your account using DBS/POSB or Standard Chartered online bill payment, bank transfer, telegraphic transfer, cheque or credit or debit card . You’ll need to log in to your account and go to the My Account tab within the web-based trading platform. See more details on how to make a payment

I’d like someone to trade on my behalf;  can I appoint a power of attorney to trade for me?

Yes. Initially, please open an account in the usual way. Once your account is open, you can fill in a power of attorney form which will allow a nominated third party - who has an IG account of their own - to access your account. You should not allow anyone other than your attorney to trade through your account.
