This morning in London: The FTSE 100 is currently up 15 points at 6866.
FX and commodities: GBP/USD is down five pips at $1.6704, EUR/USD is up two pips at $1.3591 and USD/JPY is down 25 pips at ¥101.58. Brent crude is up 18 cents at $109.98 and gold is trading at $1253, down $5.
Stocks: Severn Trent reported a 4.3% rise in its full-year profits. Kingfisher posted a 6% increase in its first-quarter like-for-like sales. Tesco has agreed a joint venture with a Chinese company to expand its operations in china. Tate & Lyle revealed a 3% drop in annual revenue.
The day ahead: Today will see the US preliminary gross domestic product and jobless claims figures announced at 1.30pm, followed by US pending home sales at 3pm.
