What corporate news to trade on Wednesday: food retailers will be in the spotlight

Tomorrow we expect first-half numbers from Sainsbury’s. Tesco is having a general meeting to consider the sale of Homeplus which, if it gets approved, would reduce Tesco’s debt by £4.22 billion. We also see trading updates from Johnson Matthey, Compass and TUI.
