The Stockies Awards are a significant event for IG as it is a public poll, with the awards running on TheBull.com.au over a two-month period. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to acknowledge us in this public forum, and who interacts with IG on a daily basis.

These awards are a credit to our continued innovation and tireless efforts to provide the best service for our clients.

Best FX Provider

The popularity of forex trading continues to increase, and we expanded our offering in 2014 to include flexible bitcoin trading against the USD, GBP, EUR, JPY and CNH.

We also expanded the number of currency pairs we offer to 90 and maintained spreads as low as 0.8 pips.

Client money protection remains our priority

We continue to maintain the benchmark in the Australian CFD industry regarding client money protection, as it is core to our business.

We never use client money for hedging purposes, which is above and beyond what is required by regulation. We advocate the complete segregation of client funds in top-tier banks, including net-running profits. Many CFD providers do not adhere to these high standards. We hope all CFD traders continue to ask these questions of their provider.

Also No. 1 for forex with best mobile platform and features

We’re also proud to announce we’ve been awarded the title of No. 1 forex provider by primary relationships, as well as the provider with the best mobile platform and features in the Investment Trends 2014 Australia FX Report.

Based on an online survey of over 11,800 investors and traders, the 2014 Australia FX Report is an annual in-depth study of retail traders in Australia and their usage of foreign exchange trading (FX).

Innovation ahead in 2015

2014 saw us launch a number of initiatives, including IG Player – our new suite of exclusive videos.

Naturally, we have plenty of developments planned for 2015, in particular the launch of our new share trading service around the middle of the year. This will include an expansive range of international stocks and we plan to offer some of the lowest rates in Australia. Soon you'll be able to trade US and other shares via our platform.

We look forward to an exciting year ahead, and would like to extend to you our best wishes for a happy and prosperous 2015. Our dedicated team looks forward to supporting you with your trading.
