Monday morning snapshot

Friday's US close: The Dow Jones closed up 111 points at 15,237, the NASDAQ finished 31 points higher at 3791 and the S&P 500 ended up ten points at 1703.

This morning in London: The FTSE 100 is currently down 20 points at 6465.

FX and commodities: GBP/USD is up 22 pips at $1.5977, EUR/USD is 18 pips stronger at $1.3563 and USD/JPY is down 32 pips at ¥98.26. Brent crude is up 18 cents at $110.50 and gold is $4 higher $1276.

Stocks: Michael Page reported a 0.4% increase in third-quarter gross profit.

The day ahead: Eurozone industrial production is due at 10am.
